I took a demonstration cooking class at Central Market with Thierry Rautureau, the fedora wearing, James Beard Award–winning, Seattle chef originally from France. His cookbook and restaurant are both called Rover’s. If you’re ever in Seattle I would try to eat there. If you love to cook I’d take a look at his book. His food is remarkable. Mmmmmmm.
Over the holidays I spent two fabulous weeks in Italy where I went a little crazy with my first little digital camera and took nearly 1500 photos. And I’m going to show you each and every one (just kidding). But I will put up some of my favorites. Here’s the poop on the first one.
I thought it was funny that this statue in Pisa seemed to be showing concern as to what this pigeon was doing up there. I’m just glad that bird wasn't on my head. In St. Mark’s Square in Venice tourists may feed the pigeons, but birth control has been added to the feed to control the population.
